Video of the Day: Torino Goals

By: chris | January 16th, 2008

Since all of 5 people outside of Europe got to see the game, the goals of the game. Studs all around. Combined MOTM goes to two second half subs, Lulu and Jesus. (Courtesy of Mike)

And is that Mexes beating the backline on that penalty? I love my defenders with an identity crisis.

Slightly off topic sorry but with all this happiness I find this funny. I ve just come across this information and I thought it was a joke at first. Apparently Cicinho comes from a town in Brasil called Pradopolis.

    http://www.futbolistas-online.com/2006/10/cicinho-brasil.html

I thought it was a joke to indicate the place in Brasil where Prade’ finds players for the club but instead its a real place.

Well in a different interview he had much less complimentary words for Cicinho:

Mister, ottima gara, un buon Cicinho..

“Si ottima partita. Lui è un giocatore che insiste per 95 minuti, può capitare che sbagli due o tre cose. Poi grazie alla sua caparbietà può arrivare a ritagliarsi parti di partita”.

Cicinho saved a goal at the 0:35 second mark off a Doni rebound. Who says this kid can’t defend?

Just in those short highlights you can see how Mancini and Giuly were terrors, and Amantino looked to be all business. He appears to care much more now, I wonder what happened.

It’s always a little funny when the coach of a team lurking in 12th place in the league says that “they have other priorities” on their domestic cup exit.

    fantastic game.

what i saw today was a team who knew it had business to take care of. they were all business today and they got it done. totti’s goals were brilliant and amantino and giuly did what they do best…give opposing defenders fits. through all of the tough times this season, its performances like this that make me feel good about this team moving forward. FORZA ROMA!

    yea other priorities my ass.

good to see cici starting today. i couldnt see the game bc the satalite signal cut out, but all seemed well. hopefully he will start playing him much more. nothing against pannucci hes solid but come on baby cici was expensive were getting what we thouhg we were getting (awesome going forward but lax on D). why we buy him if we didnt want what was his obvious strong suit. he came here n did exactly what we expected and spaletti didnt play him (why buy him in the first place if that the case??). happy we turned around that aggrate.

spaletti takes every game very intensely when it come to the thick of our up and comming weeks he has to show faith in more than 11 players or well tire out and fail.

    good day all around

awesome! this is the giuly we need in Roma! 2 assist and a goal! if he can come off the bench in every game like this then we are unstopable!

damn! i didn’t watch the match, but seeing the highlights giuly should be the MOTM. I mean 2 assists and a goal, this must’ve been the biggest contribution giuly has made to the team up to now. Grazie Giuly!
Does any of you guys think that Totti was benched due to that negative comment by TGIP?

The Torino match is up on roma-addict to download. It’s a filefront link so shouldn’t take too long. None of that bit torrent shit. Give props to Jorquera for posting it.
