Video of the Day: 07/08 Zampafied

By: chris | May 21st, 2008

Considering there was nothing going on today not involving Moscow (well, Alberto refuted any Arsenal, Juve, Inter, Barca, Real, etc. rumors, but we knew that already), the first of many yearly highlight vids to come: every goal from Zampa.

Hopefully something happens tomorrow.

Daniele, I didn’t mean to tell you not to speak your mind, im sorry if you felt that way. All im saying is that you go somewhere and start saying stuff and then mention roma then they start thinking everyone here is like that, it is like you are representing all of us over there when you go and write, and it would be better if you reacted in another way ok… it nothing mean or me telling you how to live your life…

Samuel! I loved that son of a biatch, he is such amazing defender, if we could snatch him up this summer I would be the sooo happy!!! he is humble and works so hard for the team! don’t ever call him a mercenary!

CASSANO! I have to admit, he was my favorite player at Roma… he had this fire in his eyes and in his play that I see in very few players (De Rossi, Totti…) I would take him back with open arms! he is winning me back since when he left I lost all respect for him, but ever since leaving Madrid he is winning me back god damn it! just when I think im out! he drags me back in!

and what great videos there, so nostalgic! loved it!

    imagine this italy team
    buffon
    panucci-cannavaro-barzagli-zambrotta
    ddr-pirlo-aqui
    cassano-di natale
    toni
    WOW!!!
that trident upfront would be awesome, although as much as i like di natale, i dont like him for roma, i dont think we need 30somethings, but that trio right now sounds unstoppable

chris, if adp is the #24, i might just have to kill you. i mean that in the friendliest way possible, nothing against you, i’m just trying to warn you in advance.

i’m assuming signor zampa is one of those commentators that grows on you after many, many seasons.

meh, we can chat more socially here!!!
i have a new player on my wishlist for roma, its very doubtful but i think he’d be a great mancini replacement
    aiden mcgeady from celtic
great young winger, tore teams apart in the champions league and has bags of tricks, never gonna happen but hey, neither are the majority of players we mention on the blog

    IN AN INSTANT!

I just liek playing devils advocate, that is why I defend Pizarro so much… but my only defence for him from now on is top assiter…

anyways! I just watched all of Sampdorias goals and wow! what a great team, they have such a real good attack going on…

Monty scored 4 goals I elieve and they were real nice, but he had to get injured…

Cassano was key for them as and that Maggio boy had some great goals, bellucci also had lots of goals…

brad, that I have only seen that celtic dude in FM and he is preatty good… that video game thoes its homework by the way and if it sais he is good then I would buy him… before all of you bash me… FM 08 uses a scouting agency to get their fatcs… it is what teams like manchester united use at times and evern though sometimes it is wrong a lot of times it has been right about young players that become great… some examples…

Huntelaar, Marcelo, Bojan, Aquilani, Nasri… all these players were legends on the game before they became great ones..

This would be the most exciting from my point of view:

    —————Buffon—————–
    Zambro—-Canna—-Macellazzi—Grosso
    —————-Pirlo—————–
    ————DDR——–KA————-
    ——Cassano————-DiNatale—
    —————-Toni——————

youtube is a way of checking his skills for any doubters.
and the FM database isnt usually too far from real life, although you can never tell how some players will progress (toni a few years back when he exploded, and sheva when he did the opposite at chelski)

Ordeal, based on FM, what youngsters should roma be looking at? i hear forestieri is a beast in the game?

and chico, IMO, materazzi should be nowhere near the pitch for italy, he can do as much harm as he can good for the team, although barzagli has had a poor season at palermo hes been reliable when playing for the azzuri, he’d be my choice, or chiellini

two names Salvatore Foti… a young one from Sampdoria… he becomes AMAZING in the game… also Cerci and Okaka but Cerci takes his time to develop on the game, but becomes very good…

Giovinco and those are also great on the game… haven’t played it in a while though and don’t remember many players…

Cant wait for LMA Manager , the last 2 editions were way below par , hoping the next one lives upto its name.

LMA certainly has to be the best manager game out there ever , anything that ever has come a striking distance to it is FM 04

LMA is another management game, but only on consoles, IMO its nowhere near as good as football manager, its not as in depth and is more unrealistic than FM. and yeah, foti has been good in the last few FMs, i dont have the newest version though.

boris, will you be watching eurovision? i seriously love the bosnia entry, and if the state of your nation is reflected by the song then it seems bosnia & herzegovina is the happiest, wackiest, most uplifting place in the world! hopefully it is. What are the girls like? if they’re hot i could be tempted to migrate there! it cant be any worse than scotland!!

Yeah, if Zampa wasn’t Roma’s commentary man, I would probably kill myself listening to him. After the 30th gol in that screeching voice I would rather listen to my ears bleed sometimes.

I’m not sure what ADP can offer that anyone else can’t. His rivals for the starting spot are better at almost everything than ADP with ADP in this stage of his career. He isn’t terribly quick which hurts his case when he’s being compared to the christmas rabbit and peter pan. I can’t see him starting over Di Natale or Cassano in circumstances that don’t involve one of those two missing a leg.

Zampa hurts my head.. His passion is 2nd to none but wow.. if you could have his voice as an alarm to wake up to you would be up in a flash.. And if it was a ring tone on your cell phone nobody will ever call you or what to be around you. haha.. Romanisti

LMA is out on PC as well , but they messed up that release. Overall LMA Manager gives u that feel which a manager game has to give.

    It kicked butt on PS2.

The best thing abt LMA and which makes it worthwhile is that it doesnt do crazy ass transfers. Its realistic.
For example : in FM totti will transfer to lazio if u give him high wages and up the transfer money , but in LMA he is going to show u the finger even if u pay him max.
