    We’re going to play a little game here at the Roma offside today, or at least for the next few hours until the preview goes out (I got distracted, my pocket PC was just delivered - I like toys). We’re going to call it ‘Guess tomorrow’s formation’. Here’s what I’m going with, though without much confidence.

    Doni;
    Cicinho, Juan, Ferrari, Tonetto;
    DDR, Brighi;
    Cassetti, Pizarro, Mancini;
    Vucinic.

    Panucci to rest up for the game against Udinese and throw Cicinho a bone. I have no clue.

    What I’d do is this:

    Doni,
    Cassetti, Juan, Ferrari, Tonetto
    DDR, Brighi
    Cicinho, Giuly, Mancini
    Vucinic

    With an early sub of Espo

    Doni
    Cicinho Mexes Juan Antunes

    DDR Barusso
    Esposito Alberto Mancini
    Vucinic

    Yeah Chris I think that’s what I would do as well. Maybe get Taddei on there as a sub Romanews reports that in practice in Kiev he has been i great form. Can’t wait to see him back on the pitch. Hopefully he will score the against Manyoo like last season.

    And Giuly seemed to do well in Perrotta’s role as well, earlier in the season.

    If it’s snowing, as reported, then I don’t think I want Taddei anywhere near the pitch. They need him for much more than a low (er-ish)-priority away game in the Ukraine. If it’s fine, then yeah, get him a little cameo by all means. Agreed.

    But I do love that little triangle in close quarters with LG, MV and Amantino, because usually one of Mirko or Mancini can hold up the ball fairly well while the other two make a run to space, or find a little space in the area. Wish TGIP would implement it a little more often right now.

    And as much as I’d like to see it, I don’t think Cicinho takes too kindly to playing RW.

    we need to match the result of MU Vs Sporting… my formation is somewhat more “experimental”

    Curci
    Cicinho, Ferrari, Juan, Cassetti
    Brighi, De Rossi
    Esposito, Pizarro, Giuly
    Vucigol

    We need Man U to be Man U and win.
    That is all.
    A result for us would be great or a tie, but if Man U wins or match means almost nothing.

    Fergie is up for it, he had a terrible weekend and faces charges from the FA. He will want to win convincingly at Old Trafford.

    i think Panucci will and should start…if it snows we will need some veteran bodies back on D (and Old Man played in some shitty conditions in Scotland)..we need this win..i do not want to play Man U to advance and I hate having to rely on other teams to win in order to help us (eg: sporting at Manu tomorrow)

    also..if its snowing, id prefer fewer brasilians on the pitch

    Chris, Serj is waaaaaaay pointier than Mirko. Besides, Mirko’s facial hair as isn’t nearly as groomed. He reminds me of someone else, I just can’t figure out who.

    Wait wait wait.

    You guys think that I’m a dude? Who hates Taddei?

    You seriously made my day.I just love it how some of you are pretending to be all p.c. about his looks, while we all know that he’s ugly. And everybody makes jokes about him being ugly all the freaking time (hell, I even heard Totti refers to him as “the king kong”) and for some yet unknown reason you jump all over me when I say that he “returned to the zoo”.

    Yes, I know he was in a car accident. But look up his old photos. Back from Palmeiras. He was no Jesse Meatcalfe back then either.

    And one more thing. You may have noticed that I used the term “fangirl” to describe myself in the previous comment. According to Wiki:

    Fanboy is a term used to describe an individual (usually male; the feminine version fangirl may be used for females) who is utterly devoted to a single fannish subject, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession. Fanboys remain loyal to their particular obsession, disregarding any factors (often including logic) that differ from their point of view.

    I think I couldn’t have made myself clearer and yet…

    The bottom line: a) I’m not a guy. b) I joke because I love.

    We dont really need a result. Do you guys really think Sporting will beat Man U?

    I kinda doubt it.

    A tie will serve us well.

    Pasha, there was no need to clear up the gender thing after the first paragraph. Even if one didn’t know by now, only a chick would notice that Serj is “waaaaay pointier”. Whatever being pointier means.

    Chris, it’s not rocket science.

    Serj has an almost unnaturaly pointy bird nose. Mirko doesn’t. That about sums it up really.

    And not everybody realizes such fine details. I really have no idea what to do. Maybe I should start typing in AOL speak and using ♥ instead of the letter “o”.
