Doni was great today. We usually rip him when he is off but today he was there. Let’s not forget that we have had bad luck and calls this season so a turnaround is not out of place.

i agree with paul on menez. look at zarate, he’s the same age as menez and we all see what he can do now when given full-time matches. i believe menez can do things as good as zarate, he just lack the trust from Spal and he couldn’t build his confidence if he doesn’t get his playing time right. i mean cmon, 6 months already and he doesn’t even know what position he should play on the team!

Dhaw; that’s right, Cairo Egypt. My bad……

Kurdt: exactly, that’s what I meant, but mctallian is entitled to his opinion. Me and you are on the same page though.

    KURD:
Part of Menez’s problems are ROma’s problems. That’s to say, if we had a healthy team and a consistent, coherent gameplan, he’d find it easier to integrate. You kind of make my point for me: playing him in one position one day, another position on another day, for long stretches is not to his benefit. Use him for selectively and effectively is what I’m saying.

I love how after Baptista scored , Derossi lost his mind , mexes grabbed baptista , Derossi next and then followed the captain and the rest.

    GOOD CALL my friend!
    Doni was great today!
And while we get on him for having some of those flakey qualitities, we should praise him when he’s looker unbeatable as Rocky Marciano. Way to go Alex D!

Thing with Doni is that after he signed his contract extension last season , he has been brilliant. Just marvellous.

Now, let’s build some momentum here. Our defence has been solid lately(3 games and only Terry’s hand and Cicinho’s head has kept us away from three clean-sheets)..

Our next game is Lecce away. Should be a win. Then Cluj away(win/draw). Then Fiorentina at home, difficult but their away form BLOWS(lost 10 out of last 14 awaygames)..

Actually, we are probably favourites for the next 7 games… Then we’ll play AC Milan at home where our confidence should be back..

“Well, *sneezes* at least our charming guests are no longer bothering us”

Dinner time on the east coast.

Besides, what am I going to post about?

Lazio, Fior, Napoli, Udinese are all out of our hair for a week.

Roma is still in 16th place.

    I’m a happy guy :D

I thought we were deserved winners today.. Nobody had a bad game.. De Rossi had a few chips that went nowhere but he helped control the midfield.. And Zarate was really good but we kept a lid on him.. Everyone did what they had to and covered for each other.

Fester: I love you man, but please don’t bring them up. That is the same as calling them…..we have a good vibe going here ;)

thats right, in the future, its best to just disregard them.

    Fucking A Right, Julian J.

We just shut-out the best offense in Serie A, based on season-to-date.

A little fist pumping is in order.

Gio, Im with you. There were times when we were doing great, but then there were too many times when something wasn’t right and i was damn afraid, damn afraid, that the run of the play would go against us and we would be screwed. It’s a good win, I’m glad for it, but we need to keep polishing our game.

    But for now, FORZA ROMA!!!

mctalian: i think it’s down to Spal’s problem to find the new method for roma now, he can’t force mancini’s position to menez if it doesn’t fit at all. The point is menez is a real good talent and it’s a waste if Spal can’t fit him into the squad. Afterall it’s Spal’s job to get the best out of his players.

if we win the next lecce game, we can finally climb up the table and in the case that cagli, siena and samp all lose the next game, we should get to the mid table by next week!

wow! listening to the two of you, Pauly and Mctalian, is like me having a conversation with myself in my head.

i probably agree with Pauly on Menez, though i think Mctalian makes a good point about vetting him in the derby. overall, however, i think the man has to be playing more than 15 minutes. it is true he was playing all the time in France and had much confidence and success, while it is also true that we could spend all night poking fun at the ligue 1; but i think he needs some time to warm up and build some momentum in a game in order to regain that confidence.

not sure what Spaletti’s tactic is, but he should unleash him for at least a full 45′.

(for the record, i am presently rejoicing)
