Sorry if this is posted earlier, let’s have it twice then.

Roma’s new recruit, 9 years, likes Mexes and Baptista.

Daniele, why were the fast breaks pitiful? It took minutes of the clock that would normally be more chances for our defense to break down.

Totti can defend. He’s just too lazy to.

alessio, you are so predictable with your comments. not that it is a bad thing, if that’s what you’re going for- just an observation. :)
so a guy who is invaluable in the attacking/creativity department for his team should risk an extremely fragile and injury-prone ankle to prove that he is not lazy in defending? interesting..

Pauly and Daniele I agree that our midfielders and fb’s were not good but Mexes (and Juan) stepped up and stopped Zarate in his tracks. There was one time Zarate got past Perrota then Panucci and then I said to myself he won’t do that to Mexes and he didn’t. I agree by the time he gets to Mexes he is too close for comfort.

it’s all good, mimo. that was probably the dullest dart ever thrown on this blog in an effort to incite a reaction.

Yes Cucs, too damm close for comfort.

Zarate could have easily had 2 goals himself,if it wasn’t for Marangon’s billiance, and 2 assist, but luckily, his teammates missed.

We will heavily pay for those mistakes next time, as Zarates comes with greater confidence, and if some other players don’t step up defensively.

Thank God that Loria and Riise aren’t playing. I truly believe that Cicinho would have been eaten up by Zarate as well.

The defensive brilliance that we saw against Chelsea needs to come back, but then, we lose the offensive power, or don’t we?

We loose that offensive spark in the 4-4-2. I like the 4-3-1-2 we just need a better defensive effort. Maybe we could clone Brighi and have a midfield of Brighi-DDR-Brighi. But then again if we are cloning why not have three DDR’s. HA

Yeah mac, we played the 4-3-1-2 because a lot of players are back now. Perrotta will not be missed by me once Schnappi comes back from his month-long, deep-tissue massages (prbably in the Bahamas).

What about Tonetto fellas? I think he looked great out there. Showed a lot of hustle and spirit….I’m so happy to see that Cassetti also got some minutes, and once they are truly fit, we should be great on the back side. We will just need a superb sub for the CB’s in January.

Lets just feed Loria, Riise, and cicinho to the birds….Ok, lets just sell them then……hopefully.

I hope Cassetti and Tonetto can play and play at a high level. Panucci needs to be ready to fill in for Juan b/c he has played what 3 or 4 games in a row and is way overdue for an injury.

Cucs, please don’t even think that about Panucci, no, please don’t, and if you do, I have your hair catches on fire! :D

Tonetto, based on what I saw yesterday, can and will put the effort into his game. Cassetti I’m more apprehensive about, but we will see. They owe the team, and the fans, to step up and play hard.

Nahhhhh, Totti has just always been known for being too lazy to track back. If you watched the Real Madrid game, towards the end when we were inevitably under siege, Alex was running back to the touchline to help out in defense.

Totti tracking back won’t help much. If he stays upfield the opponent will need to keep two players back to be safe..

There’s a reason why you don’t see players like Totti and C.Ronaldo defend too much. Their best way to defend is to lock the opponent’s defenders.
