VotD: The Return of Francesco.

By: chris | September 15th, 2008

He trained with the group today sans problems and will likely take part in some manner tomorrow. Best news we’ve had since, well, he was deemed fit for the SuperCoppa. That went well. Ah…

24 hours til Totti.

No Fester! They can’t be cruel to them, because the Aliens are Romanistas themselves!

As you can see, the aliens tried to abduct Schnappi by hunting for him with a net but he managed to escape somehow.

Haha! No way Fester, not him……

Someone who does need to get abducted though is that little incompetent Pizzaro. Now that would be something.

At this time tommorow we will be discussing the win against Cluj and not crying about losing to a mid-table team. I LOVE IT.

I love the fact that Roma are actualy a serious contender for Europe. At least our panties dont get wet when we beat a team that had serious injury problems at the back. We just take it as an easy win beacuse we expect it.

Pauly, UFO DO want to abduct Pizzaro. But their hunters are underpaid therefore he always manages to escape. Below, there’s a proof of a vain attempt to catch Pizzaro.

By the way Fester, its not that the Alians are underpaid, or that he gets away, but its the fact they also deem him as wortheless!!! haha!

I don’t think so. It seems to me that he HAS something that is worthy of attention. Otherwise, UFOs wouldn’t bother to chase him.

KJ: I think that Samson is only saying what any other sensible football fan or expert would say abourt Roma, ESPECIALLY before the first 2 games of the season, (but especially our injuries) which is that Roma are a serious contender in Europe. Both for the Scudetto and to a lesser degree, the Champions League, but nevertheless, a threat and contender.

so KJ, I know you’re a fantasy football winner/expert, so before the last 2 weeks and our crisis, even you would say that yourself. Can you deny this? and if you do deny it, please explain….

Com’on Fester, the only thing worthy of attention for the aliens is that Pizzaro is a Romanista! Perhaps they just want his Roma gear, jerseys, boots, etc. Aside from that, he’s completely worthless in my books…..Im so mean uhh?…..

I predicted Roma to finish 4th in Serie A(maybe this was too generous)…Ive also stated they dont have the depth for a big UCL run…Anything else?

Yeah, no question we lack depth, especially at the back. I know I can’t convince you otherwise, and I respect your opinion, since that is all it is, your opinion. Perhaps your biggest estimation of our 4th place and small run in the CL comes from what you see on paper, or the lack of big names (compared to ilan and InterScum). But thats all it is, names on paper.

Take a look at Milan, who look beautiful on paper, but look at their current crisis.

Then you have inter, who are no doubt deep, especially upfront, but given the lucky and favorable calls that they’ve enjoyed (once again, and same as last year) are enjoying 4 points. Nevertheless, they havent looked that impressive, or powerful.

But you have to admit that we’re passing though a streak of bad luck, and once we get over this hump, and given some luck (which all teams need), we will do much better than what you expect. We are capable of that, and baring serious injuries, we will surprise you good man.

Yep, but as another example, take a look at your own team–PAlermo. On paper, and given the current crisis with your coaches/managers, but especially from what they saw on paper, MOST have given them the “relegation” nod. Then look at what they did on Saturday, they looked so impressive, fast, alert, and on point. most of the team looked hungry for the win, and rightly so, they go it. My point is that given all of the right situations, any team can beat the other team. Its a LONG LONG season, and only time will tell!

So KJ, most fo us here follow our team HARD, and we pay attention to everything about it. We are confident about our team, and perhaps a little optimistic at times, like now….But our confidence stems from what we know our players are capable of doing, and that includes Spalletti (that is, given we are injury free, and geling like we often do). At at worst, yes we do look horrible, but our best, we can beat ANYONE!

Well Kj i respect ur opinion to; however, we had no depth in the Cl last year and we made it to the quarters, more than what inter can say.

We have a better squad this year (if you think otherwise than your just being to hateful)and we find ourselves in an easier group (excluding Chelsea).

As for the win, i understand why u are so excited and proud, I would be. One thing is for sure, reality is: its the second game of the season and your pride and excitement wont be consistant perhaps. I would say that it only will last until you face Genoa, thats my opinion.

Your team proved they could beat a weak Roma at home. Thats all it is, just three points. We can make it up.

Your blowing the win way out of proportion. I would understand the bragging if you beat our starting XI at home. This is just my opinion.

I guess thats the difference between Romanistas and Paler… whatever. We expect great things, you expect mediocrity.
