VotD: Pure Massacre.

By: chris | August 27th, 2009

Here’s a sufficient review:

Spalletti sent out an attacking lineup. Kosice simply weren’t good enough to handle them. Roma went up 5-0 in the 18th minute. Roma instituted their own mercy rule and coasted for the remainder of the game.

To say that it could’ve been 10-1, 12-1, 15-1 is not an exaggeration in any way. Hopefully they saved a few of those pulled punches for Rube.

And here are the pots for the draw tomorrow. (Roma cannot get Lazyo, before you ask. Though the free three points would be nice.)

Oh by the way, fuck Artur, especially Doni, with Alessio’s herpes infested dick.

Well, I find myself firmly in the Roma camp for this game. The trick is, shut down Amauri in the first half. If he cant find any space in the first 30 or so minutes, he goes over all pouty and useless. Then, all you will have to deal with is ADP (which may be a problem if Nico gives up free kicks on the edge of the box) and Iaquinta. For my money, he is going to be your real trouble. Despite being a Juve player, he is nothing but heart.

All your examples of liking Milan more than Inter come from the past 3 or so seasons. I agree that these past few seasons my hate for Inter has grown almost daily. But my hatred for Milan comes from the years of living in Italy in the early 90’s and living through pure domination by Milan. Not fun times for a Roma/Napoli fan.

We have to maintain our attitudes to fight for a win even if they score first.

if we want to win then
1.ddr must hold brazil duo at midfield
    2.artur must save ADP FKs
3.totti must score from every chance
4.menez must work yellows for cana and chiellini(red) and dribble better,so totti will have much more space

    romagiallorossa reports the following formation:
    artur
    cassetti mexes burdisso riise
    de rossi pizarro
    taddei menez
    totti vucinic
Spal wants a more conservative formation for the back, but I think even though it would have been better to insert motta in the backline in stead of Setti yet, I think Brighi should have been in with DDR for better defensive cover also, if perrotta was healthier I’d have played him

del piero won’t get too many free kicks cause there is no more nedved.

Nedved was the guy who would kill us, scoring goals and diving in free kick positions.

At least Amauri said that Mexes is the defender who causes him most trouble. If anyone, he can lock Amauri down.

well aquis Juan was injured and mexes suspended and burdisso not reg’d for europe so thats why no consistency.

Ritchie what is the obsession with Artur? everyone agrees our defence has been the problem (see above) and whether its me blaming riise (you know we’re playing against his brother in fulham? imagine that quanitity of shit on one pitch, the grass will enjoy it) or others blaming mexes indiscipline or whatever i don’t think you can blame artur.

cmon lads lets beat the thieves tonight. for the good of football and good vs evil.

The key tonight is DDR. Diego is the main threat, DDR has to do a clean job on him, not giving to many FKs for them. Now I’m worry about Taddei, he often makes unnecessary fouls.

    beating juve:

    1. our wingers will be our most dangerous weapon… don’t expect an easy evening for menez and er pupone…

    2. as everyone noted, ddr need to lock diego.

    3. pizarro provided he’s playing can make the difference, as all eyes will be on totti & menez… he will be our diego

(whether or not he’s capable of doing so is a different story)

    4. mexes need to stay on the field & artur need to wake up.

    Voila!

Are we the most active Club board of all the clubs on the offside site? I’ve looked at a lot of the other clubs, some much bigger than us (globally speaking) and they dont get a fraction of the posts we make on here.

as far as inter goes, samuel and stankovic i like.
even have a soft spot for cordoba.
but the rest can get fucked, especially balotelli.
oh the money i’d pay to see someone break that diving prick’s legs.
    i prefer milan these days.
    especially with kaka gone.

Diego Ribas Vs Daniele De Rossi – Big match up, two wonderful players with DDR looking to kick start what has been a disappointing 09 and Diego looking to kick start his Rubentus career.

Roman Wingers Vs Juve’s Fullbacks – With Menez, Guberti, Cerci, Vucinic and Taddei all potentially having a go at the wings we finally have some pace. OMG! And Juventus’ fullbacks are white guys. (double OMG!)

Buffon Vs Totti – Its safe to say Totti will probably have to net a goal or two for us to stand any chance at winning it. Gianluigi, as legends usually have the ability to do, can keep a player, a team scoring all by his lonesome.

Chiellini Vs Menez – I feel an early juvemerda send off brewing. :D

Mexes Vs Amauri – “Mexes is the defender that causes me the most trouble.” As Rubentus’ greatest goalscoring hope, lets hope thats the case.

Mexes Vs Himself – Please nothing stupid Philippe.

Who said Serie A is dead?
