VotD: On The Way?

By: chris | June 12th, 2008

Rumor is: David Suazo to Rome along with 4m in salary payments (1m over the course of 4 years to keep his salary below the cap) for one uninspired, lackadaisical, inconsistent but gifted Brazilian winger. Mancini’s agent has been given the go ahead to discuss terms with the ladies in black & blue, which leads one to believe a deal is set in place, because we all know what happened when Chivu was dreaming of black & blue bank notes last year.

Where the hell do I sign?

Krancjy’s a guy who hasn’t peaked and could turn out to be amazing value for the euro if bought by the right team/coach.

Lecce? Interesting. I’ve never visited, yet I’ve read it’s a beautiful city and not over run with tourists. Maybe I’ll have to check out a Lecce Roma match next year.

Hey, I told you he “threw” the 1-7 at Old Trafford and pocketed a million for it.

Go watch his defending on Ronaldo’s 1st goal and the “slip” on Smith’s. And tell me he was paying honestly.

Thanks. I will definitely look into Lecce for my next visit.

Totally off topic, I saw a store here that was called ‘Cazza’, and I almost laughed out loud literally. I know that it wasn’t ending with an ‘o’, but to name a store that? They have this weird thing here that making a store name sound Italian would be good, but ‘cazza’???

That is a disgraceful comment by Chivu if I interpret it correctly. He was captain of Ajax, after all, show some respect and honor. Tells you alot about the man I feel.

Lecce is a terrible team. Very pissed off they made it, first, Albinoleffe deserved it and secondly I hate Lecce.

Some of their nicknames are Giallorossi and Lupi.. Haha..

With Lecce in Serie A we should loan them Cerci, Okaka and other big prospects as a part of Vuci-deal.

Interview on Sky Sports from Petrucci:
“Going to play for the strongest club in the world is a great opportunity for me,” he said.

“It was hard to say no, even though I am a Roma fan and would have gladly stayed with them throughout my career.

“United have offered my father Stefano a job as a gardener and he will accompany me.

“I will go over on 30th June and start in United’s academy the next day.”

Petrucci added: “A month ago Roma offered me a contract on the minimum wage and they did not say how long it was for.

“I asked for a bit of time to consider it, as United’s offer had already been made, but they gave me just three days.

“Roma closed the door on me while United opened another. They could have valued me more highly.”

What happens if France and Italy tied 0-0 and Romania lost 3-0? That would be crazy if that happend. The standings would be:
    Netherlands 3 3 0 0 10 1 9
    Italy 3 0 2 1 1 4 2
    Romania 3 0 2 1 1 4 2
    France 3 0 2 1 1 4 2

Would it be the goals for against the three teams, then it would be Italy and Romania tied.

Vaffanculo Channel 4 , cant have such fuck ups when it comes to Roma :|

Actually they’re also the Giallorossi because of their colors: yellow & red. Just like the Bianconeri with Juve, Siena and Udinese.

Chivu doesn’t know nothing.. I mean all the players are hungry and want to show their worth and I think that they want to prove Romania wrong with the 0-0 draw and 1-0 loss we had in the qualifiers against them.

Lecce are the lupi because they have incorporated the wolf on the city’s coat of arms into their badge; they are still better known as the giallorossi, though. And I would second the comments about Lecce being a great city to visit, definitely one of the country’s “hidden jewels”.

Johnny, to follow up on your inquiry of last week, it appears that Football Team (a well known and reputable chain of football stores based here in Milan) now have the long sleeve white Italy jersey and are offering free names and numbers. I happened to see it in their window on the way to work this morning.

I would expect that they can do it; most of the shirts they sell aren’t pre-printed.

I think that I’ve read that “seven days” story a few dozen times over the last few months, but once again the market seems to think that something may actually happen. The stock is up about 6 percent so far today, after a sharp increase on Friday.

Interesting to see that Tacopina ended up as one of the front men for the US consortium that bought Bologna for 18 million euro.

wow Roma now linked with Ben Arfa and Luis Fabiano

the deal for 26 year old brazilian goalie Arthur is done now so Roma basically have 3 brazilian goalie’s next seaso: Doni,Julio Sergui and Arthur! Quite unique isn’t it? Arthur has played with Doni in Brazil some years ago,Cruzeiro methinks.
