VotD: Another Francesco.

By: chris | April 23rd, 2009

Francesco Serafino – 11 years old. I have no idea how to gauge a kid at that age – his football IQ, if that’s what you want to call it, and the cross/shots are impressive, though – but it’s Roma-related and it’s on YouTube. So there.

Well, there is a difference between Italian business and effective business, I’m affraid. That’s what’s most promising about having the Flicks be a part of the club. We could certainly benefit from having professionals running things.

If Unicredit are pushing for this sale and the Sensi’s are deep in debt I am not sure why you think they WON’T sell Chris.

    Do explain.

For what it’s worth it translates into 75 mil a year for 4 years to upgrade players. Would be nice.

Forget football.. German car manufacturers, German business, German pharmaceuticals, German beer, German everything is almost always of a higher quality than the average, and generally amongst the top. Organization, quality and efficiency are terms consistently linked with their products and work.

I don’t think the takeover will happen either, but I’m starting to get excited as we approach the 27th-28th. I put the chances of it happening at about 35%.

Really.. If Unicredit want the money, the Sensis have no choice in the matter. They have been very helpful and reasonable so far, but at some point Roma need to cooperate. No CL means less money which increases the risk of Rosella not making the debt payments. I don’t know how they could afford it WITH the CL, let alone without.

Unicredit still have the option of taking majority control of the club and selling it themselves right?.

    German “everything”? Really? That’s bold.

Or maybe, like many countries, they do a certain number of things well and you’ve simply accentuated their strengths rather than affording a sweeping glance. (I like Germany and buy from plenty of German companies – just playing devil’s advocate/realist).

Who says anyone’s pushing for anything, Daniele? As ever more conjecture, fewer truths.

That German everything is just as an etc… I’m sure they have their own flaws. But I find it hard to think of something the Germans don’t do well.. or at least half decently.

I’m a big fan of the Germans.. Otto von Bismark is one of my favorite historical figures.

So, it’s doubtful that Roma will be bought out. Are you naysayers saying that other investors won’t buy a minority share or anything? Or are you just arguing that no one will buy a majority share? I don’t see anyone buying out the Sensi’s completely, but the talk on all the websites sounds like people are interested in investing in smaller ways.

Germans don’t do comedy well or half decently. Germans aren’t especially good in the kitchen. Germans are not the most attractive bunch to look at. Germans, as a rule, are not incredibly artistic or creative…

After the Loria experiment, I’ve had enough of comedy..

I’m not eating Roma and I would love to have the likes of Ribery, Rooney and Ronaldinho at the club so I’m not into the player looks

As for art… It’s the players on the field who are responsible for that.. Not the Germans

The Roman stockmarket goes up and down faster than a bankrupt hooker. I wouldn’t pay any attention there. It’ll be back up in the morning.

Mick and Muck.. haha.. Horrible nicknames.. Roma should back out of this deal until they come up with better nicknames..

So this article seems to back Chris. Unicredit with a statement saying they will never pressure the Sensis into selling. That sent the stock down.
    http://www.romanews.eu/news.asp?newsID=12206&pag=2

This is a statement from Italpetroli confirming that they are looking at potential offers but nothing official:
    http://74.125.93.132/translate_c?hl=en&sl=it&u=http://www.romanews.eu/news.asp%3FnewsID%3D12186%26pag%3D2&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dromanews%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DEGn&usg=ALkJrhh7sfygLd-vCcFKApV_CiYbzR7V_g

So basically both sources asking everyone to calm the F down. haha.. Nice.. But at least they are not denying everything.

Musicians are a different story Marc. Although, one can argue that Classical music was not the most… creative of musical styles, almost more scientific and mathematical with the structure. So I rest my point, until you list some German jazz musicians at least…

What would listing German jazz artists prove? Is jazz somehow “more creative” than classical music? What does that mean. I’m just curious why you’re insisting with you initially racist point. The fact that you don’t find classical music creative doesn’t invalidate my point.
