Haha, America’s beard.
I honestly think the best Americans are the ones coming up. Adu and Kljestian are the most creative players ever conceived by the U.S., and they are 20. It says how crappy the U.S.’s history is. I’d rather not acknowledge American ball prior to, roughly, the year 2000. Belguim is pretty decent quality. Good, young players, but the talent pool isn’t as deep.
Fellaini has zero skill. He is just an oaf which is why the EPL is perfect for him. As long as he doesn’t have to touch the ball with his feet, he’s great. I have only seen him play 2 or 3 times, but he was on the field all game long, and I had plenty of time to grasp his style and ability. One of those was the FA cup match, the other was this weekend, I think.

I think having to go play in those shit countries, in cow pastures, with refs that hate the U.S. is underrated. It’s harder than most people would think. The U.S. has been screwed any number of times in central america.
At least when you play San Marino and Licthenstein, the field is nice, and everyone knows the ass-whoopin is coming.

I still think the U.S. would struggle to qualify in Europe, but those away fixtures in Central America and the Carribean blow pretty hardcore.

robin van persie is a decent talent who can score from any part of the pitch.but when given chances on a platter, he tends to miss.and to be honest, he is going to demand big money which roma dont have.thats why i think he still didnt sign for arsenal because they dont pay as much as manchester or liverpool.
one more thing about him is he is glass like juan.he tends to get injured a lotPosted from

whoever says arsen wenger is not good for roma is crazy.he has 3 premier league,4 FA cup,4 community shield runner up for champions league since he became arsenal manager.he is the reason arsenal were dominating the league with manchester for the past 10-14 years.not to mention arsenanals shortage of funds and he still gets unknown players and make them stars.

Look at Honourable Mentions
Damiano Tomassi.. “Returned to China midweek after losing a nephew and summoned the strength to play, aiding his side to a 1-1 draw while clearing a vicious free-kick with his head”
Good luck Damiano!

I watch Toronto FC vs. Chicago and I wanted to cry because it was so bad. But it is good that the players have some where to play and its a professional league.

oh the american league is beyond laughable. beckham and huckerby. jesus. can you imagine the usa team having to qualify for world cup for (ie if fifa weren’t making sure they only have to play mickey mouse islands in the carribean with no money or pitches)?
tomassi is a class act – see http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/series/seven-deadly-sins — great series the guardian is running about the seven deadly sins of football. tomassi gets a mention under greed for NOT being greedy (remember he played a year for minimum wage to say thanks for helping him through injury?). classy man.

If I read this correctly, Roma’s new owners will try and buy Adebayor. They would have also like to buy Diego but he has already gone to Juventus.
Dont know if I’ve read it right but just in case someone clarify it for me. Happy if its true

i know CMP, and you can see huckerby’s embarrassed too, especially when he asks him what he thinks of victoria spice – at least he didn’t say she’s a disgusting stick insect!

LMAO, the “Legend Darren Huckerby”. Comparing Huckerby to Ronaldinho was laughable. Is San Jose paying you $33 Million?

Went to middle school with the USNT coach’s daughter. Nice family. Bob’s a great guy, but he lack creativity when he manages, as do all of the coaches here in the US. The basic 4-4-2 is relied on way too much.

That interview made me cringe…no wonder people think we Americans are soccer idiots. Seriously even if people don’t watch soccer, if you are going to be a sportscaster, shouldn’t you be required to know enojgh to not make an ass of yourself and your country. That seriously made me so mad.
…”we hear you are responsible for scoring the greatest goal ever… what an idiot.Posted from

Broadcasters that do football in America are just making their way up the food chain. Have you ever heard Alan Hopkins talk about anything? He doesn’t have a clue. He talked about someone’s foul on An-DREE-Ah PUR-LO in the world cup, and I threw up in my mouth. Every single person posting here has more knowledge than that idiot.
The guy doing the ESPN Italy-Ukraine match called Totti Toatie, and he talked about his loyalty to AC Rome.
