yea don’t know if DDR is gonna bitch slap Baptista that hard or he’ll find himself in curva sud! :D

selling KA and buying DIEGO? Diego is a great player,he and Totti would be MAMMA MIA! But he doesn’t play same position as KA does. He and DDR are just ment for eachother in the Roman midfield! Imagine guys, with these 2 young guns, our midfield is save till 2018!

Dhaw I usually buy Rai International and fox sport that both show one game of serie A at 6 Am and one at 11.30 am, what is the story of serieA.tv? is it worth it? is it clear, is it like on Demand, all I care about is Roma Games…

I watched close to 10 games last season on SerieA.tv and i was impressed. Good Quality and more importantly Decent commentary. U dont get fuktards to comment.
Its a tad expensive no doubt but worth it.
Rumour has it that this time around the price aint going to be steep compared to last season, so well can just wait and see what they have to offer , u can get more details on this one once they are ready. http://www.seriea.tv/pubb_EN/serieatv_cortesia.html

i do not think Baptista will be blistering down the flanks with Totti and bombarding opponents with goals galore, but i do agree with Dhaw that under Spaletti, Baptista will be moulded and polished and he will be a strong addition to the team. i only hope that no salary bs gets in the way.

    predictions:

edu is not going to Italy and even if so he is not enough for the money

no Diego and no Neves – they wouldn’t work for Rom

no fancy Frenchies (Malouda, Cisse, etc.) they were all just bluffs. besides, they suck.

Huntelaar, Silva, Arshavin et al would be great but i don’t think we have the money for that.

Quags would be great but i do not think Udinese will let him go (i do not think this has anything to do with them hating the southerners – Quags is, after all, Napolitan’)

Espo is not going anywhere – maybe in January if we need more money, but not for now

i don’t know how much is left in the transfer kitty. we didn’t get that much for Mancini, nor for Giuly, but we did get Baptista for a little less than was expected. i do not think there is that much to be spent, but Rosella might surprise us.

i don’t think Spaletti will go for Suazo – he is fast but notas skillful on the ball as Mancini. we would be downgrading slightly.

based on that i think Castillo or Menez would be good for the money. Joaquin would be great.

Just how Juan settled in our team from the word go , i am hoping Baptista manages to do the same.

Wudnt have Mancini been much happier had he been still in roma and surrounded with his Brazilian mates instead of going and trying to break the ice with Argie boys.
“Blah blah blah they treat me well here” Biatch wait till u get a Milano Chick , might fuck ur happiness and send ur sorry ass back to Brazil once and for all.

    dhaw,

    thanks for the Castillo link

damn, he looks good – more like the ever-ready bunny on meth – the dude just doesn’t give up or stop. that’s what we need for Roma! the only guys we got with that kind of follow through are Perrotta and DeRossi. we could really use a forward like that.

only reservation is that defenders in the Mexican league aren’t what we have in Italy and i suspect he would have a difficult time in Serie A.

    Pleasure Gio.

The thing is 2007 was a good year for him. After that he has struggled to get anywhere close to what he was in 2007. But then again under Spal a “Nobody” becomes a “Somebody” , so a lot depends on Spal. He has to bring out the best and along with that the dressing room has to be inspired by Jesus.

i think we could really use a Mexican on the team.

and, yes, i agree about Spaletti and his ability to shape players. when you see someone have a good isolated season, it is an indicator of what they are capable of. whether they achieve it is based on the coach, the team with which they are playing, the league and other teams they play against, injuries, play time, etc. any of these variables can affect things, but at least you know the player has potential if he has exhibited it once and Spaletti and the Roma team can bring out the best.

it is only bad if the guy had one great season and 3 or 4 bad ones. then it is the sign of either one lucky period or something that has really gone wrong with the guy.

    well …

i won’t translate the whole thing; it is basically some nice animation with a lot of hoo-haa.

the story begins in the future: this is the mess that Rome has become. the city of Rome, after the great earthquake, is torn apart, it’s intestines exposed while it is overrun by the new imperial guards. Our hero, whose name i believe is Tiberio, along with his prolatariate cohorts, is left only with a hunger. but he will eat!
“we will win! we will do what we haven’t for over 500 years.” (i am just translating) the coach of his team takes him to meet the criminal mind who wants to revive the team of ancient Rome by taking dead bodies and resuscitating them using live DNA of superstar players. Tiberio is, evidently, a descendant of our beloved Francesco -”blood of my blood”, and they seek his DNA for transference to create the ultimate neo-Roma player for the empire’s invincible armada.

(not too sure of the plot line here because our hero shows up on the pitch with Totti there anyway.in any case…) they have synthesized Totti’s DNA and Tiberio is pitted against him on the field where he is then schooled by neo-Totti, though not humiliated (only history is humiliated”), the hero dies only to realise he has been in a dream. the year is 2001 and here the story begins all over. in an empire dominated by football, this is where the government decides, in the olimpico, that a single man can change the future of football (i am guessing by the animation that this man is supposed to be Totti)… a future that will be to come in 1000 years.

it’s a bit of a story in a blender and doesn’t all totally make sense, but you get the idea.

I dont really get why people are so down on C. Ronaldo, he is clearly the best player in the world, he doest flop nearly as much as he used to, he can play all over the field, and can clearly score…Im sure he has an ego, but what team wouldnt want him?

sorry, but no way on CR
all he is is a lot of step-overs.
there are over 100 better scorers – he does not have a great shot.
plus he is just a spoiled brat.
when he has the most expensive team in the world behind him he is ok, but he was nothing in e-2008.
everyone thinks he is so great because he is so young and because he is cute, but as far as age is concerned, Balotelli is already far better than he ever was and we are all going to see that this season
