Video Of The Day : David Pizarro !?

By: Marco Stucazzo | February 14th, 2008

In honour of Chris’s long awaited return here’s a video of his favourite player.

El chilean magician manages to divide giallorossi opinion like no other player. If you ask TGIP, he’s the closest thing to Andrea Pirlo soccer has to offer. On the other hand if you ask Chris… well you know.

In honour of the Piza-man, here’s the most awful song ever put on a youtube highlight video

Forza La Magica, c’è solo la Roma !

He was really great last year and rightly keep Alberto out of the lineup.. This year not so much. Although that goal against Sporting brought back good memories.. haha.. I hope he becomes great again..

Here’s a question to consider: Who has under-performed the most this season?

    Mancini?
    Perrota?
    Pizzaro?

perotta just cannot hit the back of the net for his life. other than that i think he has been fine, he plays his heart out for this team.

Is it bad that I imagine Il Capitano marching with his thumb in his mouth to this song?

    OK. Nevermind. Yes, that’s bad.

Bachar! what! Pizarro has played much better this year, I think he is a very important peace of our team and he can really keep the ball in Romas favour. Chris just hates him cuz he keeps Aquilani out of the starting eleven and untill he can drible and pass it like Pizarro I see nothing wrong with it… bring on the onslaught jajaja

It is true that Pizzaro is performing better the last 6-7 rounds but to even dare compare him to Aqui is equal to blindness. Once again, if Totti and Pizzaro pick up their defensive game (which is non existant so far) we can actually challenge Inter and stop worring who should we sign.
Aquilani kept himself out of the line up by picking up injuries.

I love that song, what is it called?

I quite liked Pizarro before I started reading this blog and when Chris really pointed out the negatives of Pizarro. Now I can hardly watch him play cause he is just so awful defensively and I just get annoyed.
Albert offers so much more to the team than David ever will.

pizarro had 1 of his best outings in the game he started (the match before the Empoli meltdown). DP actually ran all over the pitch, helped out on defense – he even earned a yellow on a hard tackle. Offensively he had some nice passes, only a couple of which were intercepted & luckily did not start a counter. And he held possession as David does in that unique pedestrian fashion that you either love or hate. We need good consistent performances & contributions from Pizarro if we’re going to excel in CL, especially since we don’t have an out&out striker that can score (sorry vucinic) more pressure is going to be on our MF to push forward & get involved in the offensive action which will undoubtedly leave the soft underbelly of I Lupi exposed & against the better teams this will wreak havoc. Oh well, bring it on mothafucka! Let’s do this!

No way Pizarro is playing better this season. Last season his crosses were perfect and found the player he wanted with ease. This season if it does reach our players its lucky. He was really good last season. I’ve watched almost every game then and this season and there’s no comparison.

I think Mancini underperformed the most in the first half, but his current hot streak makes Perrotta the biggest underachiever. Giuly needs to play more.

Pizarro has improved a lot on defence this year, and I don’t know why Chris keeps telling you guys that he gives away a ball every 2 seconds because it id not true, he does not pass the ball to the oposition so much, it just happened a couple of times like it does to every player. Pizarro is the best player we have to control the midfield and I am 100% sure that Aquilani canot do this job. I love Aquilani and I htink he is a great player but not in the same style of Pizarro or De Rossi. HE is more of a trequartista
