  Ahh, Ferenc Puskas. Averaging a hair under a goal a game for Hungary, 84 in 85 games, and nearly as well for his club teams, 514 in 529 games. He was the leading light of perhaps the greatest team not to win the world cup, the 1954 Hungarian team which somehow managed to lose against West Germany 3-2. Puskas had a goal disallowed a couple of minutes from time, a call that many felt was bogus.Zoltán Czibor, Sándor Kocsis, József Bozsik and Nándor Hidegkuti were also members of that mega team.
