Simone Also Likes Triangles.

Bologna

Struggled forever finding any words to sum up this victory. Not talking about le mot juste – just le mot. And then it came from the strangest place. The Dark Knight happens to be on Home Box Office at the moment, and I’m finding it highly appropriate as Harvey What’s-His-Two Face would so quintessentially sums up la magica in name alone. These days, those days, every days. Bipolar as ever, two sides of the same coin as ever, two-faced as ever.

My head, mostly by the manner which they went about achieving this valuable triangle, was throbbing throughout the entire thing and thus I misremember much of the game, but this is what I unmisremember – both sides.

Good:
Mirko Vucinic & Simone Perrotta got their first goals of the Serie A season.

Bad:
In November.

Good:
Mirko Vucinic did not mess his pants on a sitter.

Bad:
In the last 97 minutes of football against Bologna, Mirko has three goals. So maybe he just likes playing Bologna.

Good Simone Perrotta also nailed a sitter.

Bad: This probably fills his quota til March.

Good: They won.

Bad: It was very, very ugly.

Good: A rightback returning from injury looked good.

Bad: A rightback returning from diabolical form finally put together some decent form. And then got injured for roughly the 29th time in the last three games. (Fuzzy maths, but ballpark or thereabouts.)

Good: Philippe Mexes is starting to look like…Philippe Mexes.

Bad: The same goes for his hair.

Good: Matteo Brighi’s current form could send last year’s form a postcard and it wouldn’t arrive until next year.

Bad: His agent shut up real quick, eh?

Good: David Pizarro gave his full approval on the coining of David Pizarro Syndrome.

Bad: See above.

Good: Fitness, we suspect, puts him off the hook. (Though you could put him back on the hook if you just picked him up and placed him on a coat rack.)

Bad: So has anyone else seen an athlete in great form while haggling for a contract, only to swandive immediately after receiving said contract? Me neither…

Good: Jeremy Menez is smoother than Casanova on silk sheets.

Bad: Much like Casanova, he’ll tantalize and then disappear for long stretches. Might call, probably won’t.

Good: Marco Andreolli is turning into a pretty nice footballer, giving Roma a helluva centerback foursome.

Bad: It’s by necessity, as Juan was officially created by odd blowing techniques from a long tube.

Good: Whoolio Baptista’s touch did not resemble a trampoline.

Bad: I don’t even have a snippy snap here – that was actually pretty goddamn sweet. I must be out of rememberings.

And remember this guy?

A little more bout that Argentinian player. Very very fast, characteristics are actually more similar to Zarate and Pato (Salvio/Hauche), two english clubs have enquired bout him, but he is only coming to Italy.

Are we happy or sad that Inter won? If it weren’t for this 4th CL spot everyone keeps talking about then I would be devastated.

Liverpool officially can not go through the group stages.

Even if we make it through the Europa League group stages it looks like we might have to face some f’ing good teams like Liverpool, Bayern, Stuttgart, Kyiv/Kazan, CSKA Moskva, Atletico Madrid, etc…

Bash, I think that we should be excited to get anyone of those teams. You can only get better if you are willing to face quality opponents. I for one would not like to be gifted anything (apart from a new owner).

problem if Unicredit takes over the team majority shares, they will sell to recuperate and will only look at price and not care about what coach is selected.

Rosella needs to hurry the fuck up and find an interested buyer.

worse still, they will happy to sell for whatever they can get, so since the economy is not really a good one in which to drop the kind of cash that would … let’s say, buy a football team … any old Tomaso, Ricardo or Aroldo would be able to buy the team stake.

things could get a lot worse.

I agree, Fadayn. Save your disdain for the owner for the owner. The players are still out there playing their hearts out for the shirt. There’s nothing that can be done about the summer mercato (or lack thereof) now anyway.

Personally, I like Angelini’s pitch to take the club off of the stock market if he gets it. Angelini also has a steady business that won’t interfere with the club.

that’s pretty fair for the ultras..
the team should improve. won with one hand in the penalty box is not the right way we won against Bologna at home!!!! we are not damn mid table or relegation team, we are CL contender!!!
Damn, i’m tired with this, this suck belongs to Rosella, we should not arguing with each other. Pray they will bring back our beloved real AS Roma tonight.

I truely do not understnd all the hate towards Rosella, what was roma before the Sensi family? even before Rosella? Its not like she took us from consistant title winners to a midtable team. If u look at Roma has gottan better under Rosella. Im not saying shes right for the club, but maybe she deserves a bit more respect

Im not interested in selling Roma to the highest bidder. Owners of Roma have to share the passion for the team that us Roma fans do. not some russian/arab etc hobby project bc their bored

Menez is a stud, if he can be humble and patient he can become a great Roma player.

Missing link to this team for me is the flank players. If only Roma got a Robben type things would get real serious. Taddei/Guberti do not cut it

all im saying with Rosella is this is how roma has alwasy been since ive been around. up and down. dramatic peaks n troughs, its the nature for some reason. I though Spalletti was gonna stabilize Roma for a while but it eventually went back to crazyness. one awful year one amazing year cyclical

rossi thats rubbish. It was Franco that made Roma a great team, and under Rosella we have gotten worse. Spalletti made us awesome, Rosella did nothing except take the money and get us to buy crappy, cheap, inferior players. So far under Rosella we have lost Pannuci, Aquilani, Mancini, and Ferrari, among other players. Under her we have bought Baptista, Menez, Motta, and Riise. I hardly consider those adequate replacements. Selling to Angelini would be good. His a supporter and investor and atm thats all we need. I dont care if Rosella loves the club. If u all u want is a passionate owner, who is gonna kill the club, then ur a fool. Rosella cannot keep this club afloat and thats it. She has to go. Also u can see things r getting worse. The difference between now and past years is that we have bought replacements for our departed players. This year we bought no-one, got a free transfer, and a loanie. That is not good enough.
