Len Pennant, PLEASE quote the sources for your articles. I spend much more than I should searching Roma news on google and romanista.it and haven't found a word yet on the 3-5-2, nor on most of the other things you say.

Or is it straight from the published Romanista periodical? I'm not sure how much credit to give that thing. (and where on earth do you find it if you're posting from the UK?...)

Grosso is 30 while Tonetto is 33. And I don't think Grosso is done just yet. He was one of the best players in the Euro qualifier against Georgia. Since the world cup he hasn't been in the news much but he would be very welcome in my book. I think Tonetto is fabulous but he's lost some pace and stamina this season. He's being played too much in tiring positions.

Fabio had his moment in the sun, it was called World Cup 2006.

Grosso is a year younger then Tonetto. Lyon doesn't need Mancini anymore since they got Delgado this January

Why have the Fabio Grosso to Roma rumors stopped? I say if Lyon want Mancini they can have him for 15 mil plus Grosso. (Instead of the 22 mil they offered earlier). Grosso is young, fantastic, and a vice-Tonetto. Actually we'll see Grosso starting over Tonetto.

Man City is willing to offer Bianchi and cash for Mancini according to the Daily Mirror. I'm all for that.

Article yesterday outlining the plans: Lucio is specifically the SUMMER defensive target. Vargas is wanted as a wing-back as the surge for the 3-5-2 gathers steam and Spalletti thinks he's suited to play on the left battling with and eventually replacing Tonetto.

Spalletti still sees Di Natale as the ideal player to replace Mancini and feels Toto can perform at a high level for 2 more years after this, although he wants it done now or never. He will not pursue Di Natale either before or after the Euros. The problem here is that, like Quagliarella, Di Natale has no driving passion or ambtion to play for Roma, and certainly as Napoletani, are rather blah-zay about the club. Spalletti wants him request a transfer this month and show some desire to join instead of saying "in the summer" as almost a slight to Roma waiting around. One gets the idea that Di Natale is happy at Udinese and could ride it out before making one last go-around for Napoli in a few years.

But his dream attacker in the summer remains Mutu. Stress the word dream. Difficult, but not impossible, and certainly if La Viola fail to get the CL. As he has said he has watched every Fiorentina match in the last 40 years, and his admiration for Mutu is not false or smoke it's real.

Giuly and Esposito will both be gone in the summer, as they haven't convinced Mister. I must say Ludo has let me down. Serie A is not a league you come to on the downside of your career and hope to flourish. I see him at Monaco or a 2nd tier Spanish side. I prefer his time goes to Curci or Rosi next season and hope one of them makes the "leap" ...

If not Bianchi in the Mancini deal, Lucarelli still remains an option only at loan, despite what you have heard. He would come to Roma ahead of Toro, Parma and the other sides vying for his services.

Totti will never play anything other than ST again.

Spalletti wears a Perrotta jersey at night and sometimes after a few drinks refers to his lovely wife as "Simo'" which doesn't go over to well in the hillsides of Certaldo ...

I think you can still play Lucio in the champions league we need a striker, LB, LW i think totti should play behind the striker/ers as he used to getting moves started and creating chances and grow his hair back it suits him :) Lucio, Nilmar and Gilberto would sum up a great winter tanfers if roma were to get them.

Well. Bianchi is worth at around 8 m. That+15 gives 22 which is only slightly higher than their first bid. And don't forget that the English clubs are so fvcking rich(Except for their huge debts of course :D), so we should be able to get an overprice for him :-)
