Chivu…Chivu…Chivu…I am from Romania and I am very, very disappointed. He is the shame of our entire nation. From being an example to us, NOW HE IS JUST A BAG OF TRASH!
Months ago he declared that money means nothing compare to the ambitions and potential of the club. Well, I have to agree that Roma has the ambition, but fairly no potential or resources of Real and Barca. But Chivu wanted more. Unfortunately, he wanted MORE MONEY from Inter. It was never about trophies and glory. IT WAS ABOUT MONEY!
I can’t wait for news from Trigoria on Sunday. Being the bitch he was last weeks he is not going to look good in the lockeroom. Shame on him and I hope he will be sent out to The Netherlands, but this time to play for Sparta Rotterdam.

I just want it to be 1 September so transfer season is over and I can be at peace, no matter what the results end up being. I’m not sure I can take the rest of the summer. At least BoSOx are up by 10 game, otherwise I’d be a total wreck.

I’m gonna listen to “Grazie Roma” now and quietly cry.

I agree with you that Roma made their best negotiation move by saying Chivu was staying…however, I think Moratti just wants to embarass AS Roma at this point and will not sign him until a free transfer next summer.

I hope I am wrong and that the two sides agree on something this summer. If not, hopefully Chivu becomes a fat bastard from no playing time and too much pasta.

I agree with your sentiments, Ant.

I also believe Inter doesn’t really want him this year. They wanted to lock up his signature for next summer. They can certainly do well in Serie A & the CL without him. Now they can throw that transfer fee at someone else.

But this isn’t over, that’s for sure.

An optimistic spin: This is a shrewd counter-tactic by Roma. All power had shifted to Chivu, Becali Bros and Inter after their interest in each other was made public and Real’s offer rejected. Inter, alone now at the table, was able to halve their bid. Rejecting that, saying Chivu stays, shifted the rules again. Roma leveraged back (some) control.

Negotiations are not over. This is the midway point. And given all the manipulations by the 3 other parties (CBB&I), I’d say Roma just made the best move they could.

It’s not a bluff. They needed to be willing to lose Chivu on a free next summer. But at least they haven’t played CBB&I’s game. Let’s see what the next 6 weeks bring.

I agree, there’s no way Curva Sud would stand for it if he’s allowed on the pitch. Spalletti has maintained all along he does not want selfish players on his squad. Something will be done about this, no question.

i read in todays il romanista ( http://goal.com/it/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=350935) that leaving in roma will make us stopping all our transfer talks including giuly rinauldo modesto and bojinov. Fuck you chivu.

After this morning’s headline on ilromanista, I think the Rosella’s should dump him for whatever they can.

At this point they are not going to get any money next summer and Chivu will only be a distraction during the season (both in the locker room and amongst the fans). They fucked up…take the loss and move on. I would not be surprised if the Ultras or i tifosi hurt Chivu this season with a sharp projectile from the curva sud.

Only way Chivu should see the pitch this year is if he mans up and signs a contract extension worth the exact same contract as Mexes (or less.) Only then will he be able to come close to regaining face and not losing his life in Roma.

BTW: I can’t wait for the banners in Curva Sud. I hope they embarass the hell out of Chivu.
