yes, it may be a bit of a stretch to conclude abt Torres based on 1 season. he does seem to have all the qualities required of a striker, but there is a slight possibility tht he looks even better bcoz of poor defending mistakes. he also has scored, i dont know, maybe 90% of goals at home. i am not sure if he can break thru solid defences yet. but he sure is in the top 2-3 right now.

Im not too sold on Torres.. he was never that good in Spain.. he was average.. in England the defenders dont defend him properly they try playin offside all the time and everyone knows he has got alot more pace then most Centre backs in the premier league so a pretty dumb idea..
id rather have Luca Toni any day of the week ahead of Torres

@SGM: Please re-read my post. If it’s all about business, then ok, I wont call Sensis greedy. But I’ll really question their love for Roma.

Regarding Sensi family, I guess they’d better consider who would be the best owner for Roma in the future. Let the bidder talk about their plans & where they’re taking Roma rather than “I’ll quadruple his bid!”

Soros’ bid was enough to pay off Sensi’s debt, so anything more than that is just greed. If Sensis love Roma first, they’d be happy enough with whoever pay off their bid plus has the best plan for Roma. Any extra money is bonus, not essential.

this is getting crazy. these bids sounds out of whack. and i cant believe Soros wud drop out of the race so soon. once he has decided he wants roma, he must be doing everything possible to make it happen. i am skeptical tht the whole thing doesnt end up in smoke. and it is ridiculous to think of sensis as being greedy. Owning a football club is not charity work. u expect something in return!

I believe it is the Arab group that was interested in buying Inter a few months back. When the report first came out without a club name Roma’s stock went through the roof. Eventually the takeover was linked withInter. The offer was in the same range we are speaking of now. At the time I thought it was Roma and not Inter no matter the reports. I forget the name of the company though.
