I prefer Spal over Cap. If Capello was managing the current Roma squad, we wouldn’t be dreaming of making the CL final in Rome next year – instead, would be dreaming of UEFA cup! Capello has always had the best or one of the best squads no matter who he has coached (except current team, vaffa.. England). He needs the absolute best otherwise, well otherwise we don’t know because he never has had a weak squad. We needed players like Batigol to win in 2001 with Capello. As soon as money began to dry up though and players he requested were not purchased, he got the f..k out of there and done the dirty by going to Juve. Capello is one of the best coaches, just needs a mega-star team to win anything though. I’ll take Spal thanks .. imagine what he could do with a previous Capello squad. FORZA ROMA

I have to admit that I am not completely sold on Spal either. Its all great to see progress and see the team play champagne football, all in the right direction. But he can only be called a big time coach when roma dislays the tough mental character that true champion teams have, and convert a successul season into trophies (and i dont mean coppa). No more whining about what could have been. Everytime roma takes a lead in games they seem to go into a slumber– yes, players are responsible too, but the manager has to instill that work ethic to fight for 90 mins. I might be mistaken, but I dont see anyone other than DDR fight for 90 minues consistently. Love him or hate him, Capello is a winner and builds champion teams. I am not a fan of his style, but he is ruthless and instills that grit in the players. I want that from Spaletti on a consistent basis.

I’m not pro Soros, I’m anti Sensis. Read my posts again. I’m not caught up in fantacalcio at all, I’m caught up in the nightmare that involves us possibly going bankrupt when all the creditors come for the Sensis’ heads. I just want someone who will manage the club like the business it is and make it as profitable as possible and benefit them the most in the long run, not make my club a fantasy team. I want what’s best for the club, and I have managed to put my pride and emotions aside to say that ownership and venue need to change in order for our club to flourish.

I’ve gotta say that right now I don’t take Spalletti over Cappello. what has spalletti won? A repeat in the Coppa Italia is the only bragging rights he has, that and a phenomenal knack for blowing late leads.
