A striker was just never a priority for us in this mercato. Had we gotten a great deal for a striker, Spalletti would have probably had to change formation…..and in order to have the proper time to do that, it would have had to haapen a long time ago.

Looks like we are making an attempt for Guberti, the 24yr old Serie B wing from Ascoli that we had discussed many months ago. Possible exchange for Virga?

Lorenzo,
Alvarez and Andreolli wouldn’t play much this season,they were never part of Spals plan.
Virga will also go to a serie B club.

Reports say in Milano currently Prade is talking for Crespo. Would be our vice Totti in our line up so Vucinic can spend lots of time on left wing.
I’d rather see a winger instead of Crespo (altough he’s a really class forward)
Anyone seeing Okaka doing a ‘Balotelli’ or a ‘Messi’ this year on left/right wing?

yes, i bitched a lot about Prade’s handling of the transfer market, and i stand behind my complaints because i do think it cost us integrating the new players,

that being said, however, this is the most excited i have felt about a starting season in a long time.

we will have a lot of work to do but i really think we can go far and above all evey game is going to be fantastic to watch.

So apparently it turns out SerieA.tv will not be showing games anymore, or will only for this next season because ESPN360 bought out the rights from under them.

Another piss off for SerieA fans wanting to catch matches.

Crespgol would be phenominal – very much like the old Batigol from days of yore.
does anyone worry that we will have too many guys on the bench clamouring for a starting spot, though? or ids it just me.

Espo will do really well at Chievo and it is good he is just on loan … i say we will want him back
