uhm, i see you’re having problems distinguishing black from white. i dont recall EVER mentioning that aquilani is better than pirlo. not yet. had i said that, i would have been advocating him STARTING. instead, if you look back, i simply said that we need him for COVERAGE for pirlo in case he gets injured or his play struggles.

palombo is far from being the answer. again, name me an italian international with the playmaking abilities close to those of pirlo in the midfield.

maybe if you spend a little less time blindly confronting chris on the pizarro vs aquilani debate, you’d have a bit more time restoring your own tattered credibility. jaja

So your feed is terrible to is it? I wrote to the department and actually have a couple of friends whom work there unfortunately not in the technical department but basically from my inquiries I was told that it was Time Warner Cable that was responisble for the compression of the video, yet watching the same game on Fox Soccer Channel I get a clean picture. Even worse they basically recommended I get direct tv rather than look into the problem but I have seen it on direct as well and it is just as bad.
All the other programming is horrible, basically a line-up of all Berlusconi’s mistresses placed in period pieces. how horrible. I think the best thing to come out of Italy in the recent past was “la meglio gioventu”.

Anyway back to football I wish the best for you guys this weekend. I was supposed to be in Italy this month, thought I’d be there for your scudetto victory celebration but unfortunately it’s not to be. Never thought I’d say this but FORZA ROMA! I have to live vicariously through Roma since Bologna has self destructed in the past five games and managed to lose to GROSSETO! I fear another season in Serie B, however I’ve gotten used to it.

I completely agree with you, Ben, I hate Rai International. Their quality is disgusting, and they should just air Italian programs. But when you compare it to other programs they show, “La Giostra” is salvageable.

Sorry after reading what I wrote it looks a little confusing. I just mean to say that their resources are being used poorly. The technical administration is poor and the graphics seem to be taken out of 80’s tv programming. I even offered to build free title designs and graphic treatments for them because I am an editor and graphic designer but they have no interest in that.

Vlad, my problem with RAI International and Goistra dei Gol is the production value. RAI International has a rooftop office with an outdoor deck that spans the entire floor, basically a lot of money, low quality. The broadcast is poor and the roundtable to me is just sloppy. However I do agree with you that I enjoy watching all the goals as they come but I just wish we could get Italian football programming, why waste money on an international branch when Italy has great football programming and incredible commentators which I can’t say for Giostra. Plus the Bolognese guy kills me, these people in my opinion have no business in front of a camera. However I continue to subscribe because La Domenica Sportiva is too near to my heart.
