Briefest of Friday Briefs: Guess Who’s Back.
By: chris | June 5th, 2009
“I remain for Roma’s good. It can’t be said that I am not happy or am not motivated.”
Have to say I did not expect this (obviously). But I, like The Grand Imperial Poobah, cannot say that I’m not happy.
But check back when August medical rounds begin.
Luciano will reportedly have a larger say in the transfer market, which sealed his deal to stay. It also means Roma will need to get ready for an influx of highly-versatile, hard-working 30 year olds who suddenly and mysteriously turn into glass despite a career lineage which would indicate otherwise. And half the 2004-05 Udinese Champions League placing squad.
Super Signing
And this flies open the door for one Stefano Guberti to join the Trigoria ranks, as his agent said today. Roma is easily his first choice, they’ve sat down and discussed a deal, and you’d have to believe his signing will come within the next week or so. Great news for Roma as they’ll nab a young winger with extreme pace and a propensity for scoring goals on a free for Rosella-cash (less than a mil per year). How do you say no to that?
Riiiiiiiiise
Barcelona target John Arne Riise – yes, that’s correct – has reaffirmed his commitment to Roma all while being ankle-hunted by Juan Jr.
You give some, you take some.

I was watching from the stands while that was happening. It seems mexes’ and Totti’s kids are taking part in injuring the Seniors too.. Channel Totti (or the other one?) can really kick the ball!

i am generically opposed to anything with 3 at the back but Caroe’s 3-2-1-3-1 thingy is starting to look interesting
Jacob’s 4-2-3-1 looks damn scarry

Jacob’s line up is looking unreal. That team would give anyone a run for their money.

as cool as some of those formations look, 3 in the back makes me nervous as hell. I like more of the same:
——-Curci—-
Motta, Juan, Mexes, Riise.
—-Brighi, DDR, Perotta.
——Aquilani—-
—-Vucinic, TottiThat would be our defence line up
Our attacking line up: 4-2-3-1
——Curci—–
Motta, Juan, Mexes, Riise.
—–DDR, Brighi—-
—Menez, Totti, Rosina—
——–Vucinic—–Or put Totti at striker. Vucinic on the left and Rosina in the middle.

My second formation really is not that different from Jacobs except for Guberti and Rosina. Also I did not include Aquilani who could play in the middle also.

Guys, I am starting to work on the Games blog. By all means pay it a visit.

I think Rosina would be better suited on the right. That’s the main reason why I’m dying for Roma to get him, he would force out Taddei of the lineup.

cool sneaks ill check it out

Is Rosina not a natural lefty? Goofy Foot?

interesting. in all honesty i’d rather sell brighi. aquilani would prob replace his spot anyway

That article is a bag full of crap. There is no way either of those players are going anywhere especially with Destro staying on as the skipper.

Romanews is linking us with Chievo Verona striker, Sergio Pellissier

Caroe > that line up is not 3 at the back but 5 and I would say it is cattenaccio, attacking but still. What a paradox! I suppose it could be interesting to see he Spal could reform it from the tactical point of view. I do like it I have to admit.

Of course Chris is happy. If there’s any problem again, he can still blame Spaletti instead of Rosella (and Prade and Conti), hahah.
I’m happy because it was Rosella’s fault last year. How can you do well when you don’t get player you want most (Mutu) and get a player you declared ‘not necessary for this club (Baptishit)?

Well last year it was Harry Kewell, this year Michael Owen, so I wonder which over the hill EPLer we’ll go after next year? One of the Nevilles perhaps?

well if he’s on a free,why not!
Taking in mind Roma’s hard trainings and medical staff, he’s not that injury prone right?…right?…oh wait damn!Posted from

Brighi over Aquilani every time. If there is a player to sell, it’s Aqui. Selling Mexes or Brighi would be STUPID.

Owen? I thought we already have one Montella – do we need another one?

yeah we need another to keep the first one company..
