As much as I hate Man Utd and would like to see that team fall apart, I think what ROnaldo is doing to them is such an “assholish” thing.. It’s attitudes like that that are ruining the sport. He’s got like 4 more years on his contract and he’s thinking about leaving when it’s so obvious his team aren’t letting him go. He has money, playing time, legendary status at the club, etc… What the f*** more does he want?

And what Real Madrid are doing is disgusting.. So Inter-like.

MU is stealing one of our youngster… they can go to hell and if it is Cronaldo guiding them there it is their problem

di natale would be an awesome signing as a short term fix, i think everyone can agree he has talent, but surely we dont just want a team for now we want one that will last, without us having to shell out megabucks (2000/01 ring any bells?), so while i would be happy to see mr xmas in a roma shirt, i dont think its the best piece of business we could do. i seriously would rather we bought talented young players we could nurture and progress with, like pazzini, palladino, pelle, (whats with all the ‘p’s?)

I completely disagree with you Bashar, everybody taps up players. The only reason the Ronaldo story is so much in the news is because he’s the best player in the world and Ferguson is such a moaner. United have done exactly the same things themselves and will continue to do so.

nonni, you are 100% right, sporting from portugal threatened to report man utd for all the tapping up they have done over the last few years, and now with miguel veloso

player power is killing the game, if you sign a contract you should be made to see it through, ronaldo is quoted as saying he’ll decide in a few days what he’ll do in regards to a transfer, even though man utd state he is in no way for sale. you couldnt imagine this stuff happening 15-20 years ago

Just because everyone does it, it doesn’t mean it’s right.. I’m just complaining about player power.

    Realistic signings for Roma?

Di Natale, Iaquinta, Guiza, Mathieu, Iezzo, Domizzi are all very likely.. Not all together but maybe 2 or 3 of those.

    about time!!
iaquinta + palladino for mancini would be good, but if we where just to try and buy him, then i think the money is better spent elsewhere. IMO, mirko is a better striker, so why bother? we need a world class striker, not just a decent one, and anyway dont you need to play in black and white stripes to sign him?

Bashar, Cazzano slightly mistranslated your previous statement. Totti said “The others are reinforcing, we must get better as well.” Not that Roma has reinforcements, but they absolutely need them.

Don’t worry, my club’s taking its’ sweet fucking time as well. How many of our targets are now in rossoneri?

How “Special” do you have to be to create a half-decent team with that kind of budget?!!
Some of us here at the Offside could manage to at least keep a team in the top 4 with that budget, no? ;)

On another note, the Cronaldo-Madrid saga is not surprising at all. He and Manure deserve each other. I have no sympathy at all for a club that gets down and dirty with the best of the seazeballs. Even if we ignore the poaching of youngsters from vastly more talented countries and various other sleazy activities, the club and SAF use every unethical and barely legal tactics to get the best for themselves (including ref intimidation, which I hate for its classlessness). The worst part is that they perhaps dont need to. They should not cry about unethical players.

Yeah, the Ronaldo thing doesn’t suprise me, but I expect Nike will shit themselves. Just what they need is that influx of jersey sales going to the rival brand’s most reknowned club. With that said, Ronaldo better learn to break down defenses at a walking pace like the Master, and his hero Figo, or he will suck wind in La Liga. There won’t be all those track meets like in the EPL.

I think the Special One refers to his uncanny ability to blame anyone but himself for his team’s losses. He managed to get the best ref in the world to retire because of the harrassment he received that was encouraged by Mourinho.

Actually Nonni, Ribery is better than Ronaldo, but you can keep letting that english media spoonfeed you crap.

Zack, i am also inclined to believe that Ribery has more value to a team both for club and country. To me, he is a more complete player. But of course, he will probably remain perpetually underrated by the english-speaking media because of the lack of “poster boy” quality and the cardinal sin of being non-EPL. He will be the Shrek to the Prince Charmings (with the princess being a Euro/WC or two?)

That interview Cecco did has since spawned 10 different headlines in as many papers. What he said was “The teams finished behind us have already reinforced. We are obligated to get better, and we will get better.”

Aho Alessio, che cazzo dice!?!?! Non protesti … quanto per Amauri? Quindici milioni … e Nocerino e 1/2 Lanzafame? Not a terrible way to start the summer, considering today is the 1st day of June.

Cigarini to Villareal? Come on can’t we make an offer?

Conti stated that Aquilani won’t go anywhere and will renew his contract. Daily Express says that Riise will be a Roma player next season. Will cost 6million euros.
