spaletti should let vucninic loose. let him play his best position along totti up top n lets see if he can produce. hell if he scores a decent amount of goals this year we may not need to spent 25million on someone else. even thouhg amauri would be pretty nice.

Thats exactly what I'm saying JCS. Plus, diversity in formations would keep opponents on their toes; as of right now just about anyone in Southern Europe knows what team Roma will field a week in advance.

Vucinic will probably play as the striker against Napoli lets see is he impresses, but Spalletti cant expect to see Vucinic do what Totti does for god's sake, he has to let him be the striker that he is, instead of trying to use him to pass the ball for some one to score use him to get the balls and score!

Seriously, I don't understand why people say we don't have a true striker. Ummm...then what the hell kind of position does Vucinic play? Cause I could have sworn it was centre-forward. And a physical, aggressive centre-forward at that.

Amauri is great. I mean really, he's really really good. But next summer, when we'd get him, he'd be 28, and Zamparini supposedly values him 40-50 million euros when he's healthy (straight out of Amauri's manager's mouth). Even at 25 million, aren't we better off keeping a 24-year old striker who's scored buckets of goals every time he's played in his natural position? I mean, when Amauri was 24, we didn't even know who the hell he was. We could have gotten him a couple years ago at 12m, and I think it is ridiculous to buy him for at least twice that price and 2 years older. Especially when we've got a kid who everyone's been certain would become one of Europe's premier strikers since he was 20. Give him a chance, he hasn't gotten one yet. He's played at forward a handful of times, most of those as a sub, and is usually given late appearances on the wings. Also, the 4-2-3-1 formation isn't all that suitable for him, I don't think. Only a few, specialized players can play the lone striker to the best of their abilities, namely strikers who are used to keeping possession, allowing their team to move forward, and then feeding the ball to the wingers, possibly getting it back. Vucinic is an out-and-out striker, who would most profit from having Francesco backing him up. I almost want him to leave, for his sake, sometimes. I love Spalletti, but sometimes I really don't understand him. Like last year, when he'd pull out formations out of his ass due to a Perrotta absence, putting Taddei as trequartista, Mancini at right, Aquilani at left, Faty in the midfield...what the hell, just put Francesco as trequartista and give poor Mirko a chance.

I really hope Luciano does give him a decent shot.

Everybody who played them then. Trust me, I'm the foremost leading expert on Zlatan quotes (yes, that's on my resume) and nearly everybody who was either Swedish or had opposed him said the same thing: He's gonna be that good.

Everybody in Sweden saw Tomas Brolin as freaking Pele and he was a fluke. What a decline! When at Crystal Palace they offered him a job as interpreter just to keep him out of the pitch. And now he sells vacuum cleaners in Sweden. In his free time he does this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIEPdCCSdUo
So, I wouldn't trust Swedish experts. :)
