Dude, I saw his quote. That was PR damage control. He didn’t mention Roma, he mentioned that he had missed out on Barca or Real.

Don’t believe the hype. He was involved all along. Agents are paid to take the heat.

Chivu is supposedly furious with his agents, seeing as he preferred to go to Real Madrid and Barcellona.
So, here’s what I think happened: I don’t think Roma wanted to sell Chivu all along, because Spalletti likes him a lot and the management does what he wants. I think that, seeing as they had Juan already, they made an attempt to keep him, but his agents refused it. Chivu was sad about leaving Roma, but he knew he’d have a chance to play for teams like Real and Barca so he got over it. He went on vacation, telling his agents to find a good team for him, he comes back and finds himself in this mess. It wasn’t that much about the money for him, but wanting to go to a good team if staying at Roma was not an option. At this point, he signs a contract extension, maybe dumps his agents, and we have the best defense in Europe. If that happened, would you guys accept him as a Roma player again? I think I would.

I think Chivu could learn a lot of things about class from a lot of people. That just goes to show this is Chivu’s fault – not his agent. He has all the power.

It’s not Castillo.

And billi if he plays he’ll play at LB with Juan in center.

mr. chivu, you have one chance left brother, get rid of your agents, say it was all their fault and sign a contract extension, thats the only way brother.

guys even with chivu, we still need 3 players, in my opinion, a defender, a midfielder and someboday you can play up front, in the middle or the left to help out mancini.

chris, i agree with you though, pannucci juan mexes chivu is sick.
