hmm..have to disagree abt Camo, coz I still think he won balls and tried to push fwd, at least compared to the others..(while Pirlo sometimes looked like he only knew how to pass sideways, except for 1-2 good balls). lack of quality crossing from wide is somewht worrying. I am all for Cassano, but instability in big games is scary. Canna needs to get back to good ‘ol serie a. I am not convinced tht Donadoni has even half the tactical astuteness of some of his predecessors. Also, didnt note how Aquilani did when he came on. anything good that i missed?

Absolute no to ADP, not even as a sub. I would much rather have Cassano with his speed and creativity. That is frankly what is missing in this Italian side, that and a coach, who know’s how to tactics and knows how to select and field a team. As for Camo,I wasn’t impressed, at all. He’s a hack-o-holic, he is never (never ever ever) going to beat anyone off the dribble, and quite frankly I still can’t get over the fact that we don’t have an Italian that can play his position. Thank god the FIGC didn’t renew dumdoni; I can’t wait to see him off the sideline. . .

De Rossi seemed at 50% capacity. Not bad, but not better than average. Probably saving resources for more imp games. I thought Camo was the best player today for the azzuri, although he missed some chances. Still was energetic and creative. The disallowed goal was a BS decision, and after several replays still did not make sense to me. I cannot seem to muster up any confidence in the Don. Anyone for using ADP as a super-sub at least?

KJ.. that’s not entirely true.. He had a few bad games but most of the games he’s played he’s done well.. 4 goals in 33 games is not that bad for a defensive midfielder. His scoring record is close to Pirlo’s (6 in 45) and better than Gatusso (1 in 50some games). He also does what he has to on the defensive end.

You can’t blame him today though. Like I said.. 3 tournaments vs. meaningless friendly.. He was just trying not to get injured and it was obvious.. Aquilani was the exact same way.. I’m sure Spalletti told them to just go through the motions.

This summer is when we will see what type of players they will be for the national team.

De Rossi was Italia’s best player. Azzurri’s issue is their manager, not the players.

On a side not, Richarlyson for Brazil! “it’s raining men” at the Emirates, in many ways.

Also, watching Diego play football makes me feel warm and funny inside. Don’t see Roma as a player for him (regretably), but let’s pray Juve and Milan miss out as well.
