The Great Hair Debate: Sergio Ramos v Timo Kunert

Apologies for the delay, but we’re back in full form. There will be either one or two more after this today, depending on how things work out. But we definitely need more voters. Come on, like work is better than looking at photos of ridiculous haircuts all day. Alright, maybe it is.

Ramos:

I’m only going to say one thing: he is way fucking cooler than you. Just ask him.

He’s going to give Philippe Mexes a run for his pretty-boy money. Also, on the very very short list of defenders I would take if money was no object. He was border-line for a #1 seed strictly for those first two pictures, but I managed to hold myself back. I’m going to do my best to recreate that first picture with my luggage and the white suit the next time I fly.

Kunert:

I have no clue what the hell he’s going for, but it’s brutal. I think it might be a shaved mullet plus comb-over bangs with various colors. I think that’s it. Props for originality, not much else…

I’m not sure which of the last two came first, but neither is much of an improvement on the other. There aren’t any pics that I could find of him on the field, which likely means Schalke’s manager is smart enough not to let that mop onto the field of play.

  No, it cannot be. Unless you find testicles sexy, which I do not. Nor have I ever met a girl who feels that way.

Generally, the expression just means really, really hot, with vague implications of other attributes which I will leave up to your collective imagination. Not that I want to make you spend your time thinking about male genitalia.

  Gee Chris, I wander over here thinking I’ll find highly technical discussions revolving around broody Romans that I won’t even begin to understand and… Hair contests?!

  Anyhoo, I vote for Ramos.

  If you’re doing more of these, Fernando Gago would be good. Becks’ hair changes too fast - it would be impossible to know what you were voting for.

  Ady, we’re doing a 32 team tournament for the best/most ridiculous hair in football right now. Obviously some deserving names missed out, but it’s a pretty quality bucnh we’ve got.
