The Great Hair Debate: Fabricio Coloccini v Ronaldinho

By: chris | July 9th, 2007

3. Fabricio Coloccini LB Deportivo La Coruna

v

14. Ronaldinho AM/FW Barcelona

Coloccini:

I’m really not sure what it is, but I have the utmost respect for the man for having the balls to pull off the long haired curls. They really should have been on the list of the new 7 world wonders. Pure quality.

That’s what I would call a perm gone horribly right.

Ronaldinho:

It’s long, it’s curly, and it’s got that Crisco effect in spades. He’s like the Brazilian version of a hockey coach. He might be one of the top 3 players in the world, but the man needs some serious styling assistance. I’d be terrified of touching his mop for fear of my hand melting off.

Somebody in the Barcelona needs to tie him down and shave it off, he looks much much better in that last picture.

It’s utterly unfair to pit these two against each other. It’s like having the top two seeds of a tournament play each other in the first round.

Fabricio Coloccini - Ronadinho needs to learn that only Italians can successfully pull off the “Crisco” look.

As hard as it is to vote against Ronnie I need to go for Coloccini, those curls are just too fantastic.

Ronaldinho, because his horse-face perfectly matches his pony-tail.

Coloccini, did you ever notice that he looks eerily like Justin Hawkins of the Darkness.

The fact that you know the lead singer of The Darkness’ name creeps me out on so many levels.

(but yes, he could be a much bigger version)

If Coloccini could pull off that freeze-frame hair from the last picture on a regular basis, he would be an unstoppable force of nature. As it is, he edges out Ronnie, if only because a shaved-head ‘Dinho scares the bejeebus outta me.

I’m trying to figure out what classical statue Coloccini looks like. Is it Michelangelo’s David? I hope not for his sake.

    And his girlfriend’s.

    I mean…umm…what?

And btw, Chris, you should go in and edit your name so that it links to your page again. What’s with this “chris g” stuff?

Yes!!! It IS Michelangelo’s David!! (Damn, I’m good.) I’m linking here only to the head shot, because I am prim and proper.

I’m OK with giving that the thumbs up as long as Fabricio Coloccini promises never to stand naked in the middle of Firenze. As well as a promise from you to never refer to FC’s girlfriend and the Statue of David in that manner ever again. Even though I’m still not sure I fully understand it, I’m just certain that I don’t want to.

I kind of like being anonymous chris g, some people still don’t know it’s me. You know - sneak attack.

This is one of those “just so you know” things. There is a chain restaurant — Bucco di Beppo — which has, (among decorations that also include photos of Sophia Loren in lingerie — in her prime), anatomically enhanced little statues of David. Just kind of sitting around the restaurant.

And yes, this is somehow relevant to your post. I have no idea how.

Laurie, let me just say, if we ever have a Great Pubic Hair Debate, you will be named “special advisor to the committee.”

    Congratulations.

Coloccini’s hair isn’t so much Michelangelo’s David as it is medieval princess. I would guarantee that he’s needed to be rescued from a castle tower on more than one occasion. Fab is Fab.

Did you know that Roma asked about Zenden (from Liverpool?). Marseille’s president mentioned that Roma was one of the clubs interested in him.

Anyway, good thing it never happened because Zenden is crap.

I say this is a tie. its comparing apples with apples. both have hiedous long curly hair, ronaldinho pulls it back thats all. i think the two should move on to the next round as Ronalccini, the massive puff ball of curly hair.
