The Great Hair Debate: David Beckham v Ronaldo (The Real One)
By: Chris | June 27th, 20076. David Beckham RW Real Madrid/LA Galaxy
v
11. Ronaldo ST Milan
The Battle of ex-Galacticos
Beckham:
Quite frankly, there were too many hairstyles to pick from for David Beckham. I tried to get quite a few, but one can only look at so many pictures of a man that much prettier than he. A man can only go so far. Becks has certainly experimented with his fair share of styles, and has only fallen on his face a couple times. The man is an icon of style, and it is quite evident when it comes to his latest ‘do. However, some asked why Beckham was such a low seed. To which I responded, what have you done for me lately, David? What have you done for me lately?
(Oh yeah, that’s him. Blonde my ass.)
Exactly, I would put him higher, but the peroxide blonde has got to go. You’re better than that David.
Ronaldo:
It was the style that sparked a hairstyling fad, much to the chagrin of parents across the globe. Ladies and gentleman, The Ronaldo…………..
I’m pretty sure he lost a bet, it’s the only explanation.

Beckham for the diversity. I was really rooting for Ronaldo, but he pretty much has had a shaved head his whole career save for 2002. All he needed was one or two more different creative styles and he would have had my vote. I see Becks tripping up in the next round.

Man, this just isn’t fair. Any time anyone gives me a chance, I’ll vote against Beckham. But here? Fuck no. That hemisphere look of Ronaldo’s is just too, too wrong.

Beckham shaved his head a couple of weeks ago (supposedly in front of the Real Madrid squad), so he’s no long platinum.
I’m with Martha here–Beckham is the lesser of the evils.

I never thought I’d have to vote in favour of Beckham over Ronaldo, but I’ve had an intense hatred towards that…thing since Ronaldo first plagued the world with it. So Beckham it is.

There’s just something about Ronnie that makes me want to vote for him… Could it be the abortion on his forehead? Yes, I think it is.
I vote for King Ronaldo.

Beckham. He could give Mexes a run for his money in the pretty stakes too.

If we are debating the most ridiculous, then Ronnie’s already celebrating his victory. If ever one moment could trump an entire body of work, it’s this crime against humanity, this visual equivalent of brain freeze. I think the Hague were going to file charges but they missed the window due to the loss of motor skills induced by this ‘do. Beckham is sadly sent packing to Hollyweird.
How did Luca Toni make the cut over…well anybody. He’s not even the most distinctive at the generic Italian player look. Why not Cobi Jones or Juan Toja? Bofo Bautista?

Dude, have you not realized my insane Italian bias at this point?
You’re lucky I didn’t include half the senior squad.

Beckham has to win this for continuously changing hairstyle. That hairdo Ronaldo had during Japorea 2002 was the only outrageous one of his career.

Gattuso has threatened to shave his head after losing a bet a la the new Beckham hair… I love Gattuso’s hair and therefore vote against Beckham. Spite moves me to vote for Ronaldo.
