GHD Final The Battle of Rome II: Totti v Mexes

By: chris | August 6th, 2007

Guess what, the first leg tied 120 votes apiece. Last night it looked like Philou was a winner at 51% but Totti was able to pull even with a couple votes swaying the election. I knew this would be close, but this is quite the competition. Therefore, there will be a third leg with even more freakin pictures on Wednesday. Keepin it all about the pics.

1. Philippe Mexes CB AS Roma

v

2. Francesco Totti ST AS Roma

Big thanks to the ladies at forzaphilippemexes.com for a lot of these photos. My life would’ve been a lot easier if they’d been here from the beginning.

Wow, in the 6th pic from the top, Mexes looks scarily like Cassano. And in the one below, he looks a bit like Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Except he doesn’t have a sick, twisted smile.

I say you have hundreds of legs, and let it run through the whole season. Maybe Mexes will get a disease in February, and all of his will fall out.

Not that anyone’s going to change their votes — at this point it’s all about who happens to check back.

Nice, I was wondering when we’d see an Auxerre picture.

Vlad, I literally had to recheck to make sure that wasn’t Antonio. Creepy.

Posting a kid picture of Totti? Not fair to Mexes, you’re trying to reel in the female vote by appealing to their maternal instincts!

I must say I really enjoy your blog, good work. I can see that you’re posting from Sweden, which makes me curious; Do you speak swedish?

I just wonder as there is a swedish roma fansite that you might be a member of (svenskafans).

Stefano, thank you. I’m not actually from Sweden, for some reason my country signature mirrors wherever the poster is.

Nor do I speak Swedish, although if you’ve been here long enough you might know by now I’m a big fan of all things Sweden.

Can I just say something? I was the third vote. I voted for Mexes. (Of course.) After my vote, it said three votes for Totti.

What are you trying to pull here, Chris?
