Coppa Italia Non-Preview

By: chris | May 7th, 2008

So there’s a semi-final cup game tomorrow. Against Catania. Against a team in very serious danger of relegation which has a game in three days. Against Juventus.

Color me shocked they didn’t call up the women’s team. They’ve got about as much depth as the Vatican City national team and a Coppa Italia final run where they’d get creamed by Inter won’t help them achieve safety, their main and only concern right now. I’m not saying they’ll tank the game, but I’d but utterly astounded if we saw something close to their best XI. Plus, the moment they try to get forward with more than one, maybe two attackers, the Giallorossi are going to open up the floodgates, something Catania is all too familiar with.

Roma’s gonna win. Or at least Roma is gonna go through. I’d bet the house on that one. Liveblog tomorrow.

For now, a little look back at last year’s run:

If he does I hope he runs over to the bench and lifts up his shirt to reveal another one underneath saying “fu@$in’ play me”.

    True Chris.

Kid needs to eat his spinach, but there is no doubt Piz should be our Treq or on the fucking bench.

Sucks that Spal has such a man cursh on the wee mee’s of our squad.

Thing is Alberto will start playing when he can stay healthy for more then 3-4 games straight. He won’t get paid based on potential, his talent on the pitch is always there but the problem is he isn’t.

Yes, a full year with Alberto healthy will tell alot.

It may even dictate his future with us, as shitty as that sounds.

Rumours in italia usually have 1% of truth hidden behind them tho…

See I am not that sure about these injuries…

KA had 2 similar injuries with his thigh muscle, right? This was treated in the Casenatico(sp?) first time and 6 months later same injury. In the meantime Casenatico gets closed because it should not have been opened at all.. so this may be only 1 injury actually that hasnt been fully treated maybe.

His current injury is an impact injury he cannot do anything about but! he had to have a private screening to diagnose that micro-fracture (Totti had the same injury and we were told first that it was a bruise) … so this may be an issue with the medical staff rather than KA…

    What do you guys think?

I’ve suspected the medical staff sucks for awhile. Their “recovery times” always seem to fall way short.
